Well duh. Computers are complicated things. Setting them up will be complicated.
I set up CUPS a few years ago, and it still works. The main problem with CUPS is that it does not get used every day.
So far all that posts I have read says that the OS community NEEDS to do this and NEEDS to do that. Have you considered that the FOSS community is not in competition with MS? We are developing much faster than MS, but give us a fucking break, man. Developers develop what they want to develop. You want it different, change it. That's your right.
CUPS is blindingly easy to install once you actually have read the manual. Most things are. That's why there are manuals.
The LAST thing the FOSS community needs is a bunch of crybabies too lazy to read a manual. btw, I only use Linux. It has far surpassed the usability of MS, IMHO. That's me, your milage may vary./rant
All the posts here so far have been telling us how this money system will not work. To be honest, It does not look thta hopefull to me either.:)
Is there any reason why you cannot ask anyone who sends you mail to have a specific tag that you specify in the email they send you? Your email filters can then check for this tag, and if not found automatically bin it, or maybe a little not that so-and-so is requesting your tag?
That way you only get email you want.
Tag gets compromised? send everyone in your taglist a request to update to a new tag..
hmm. I can see a few things that may need a little thinking over, but why not? This sort of thing can't be too difficult to implement?

Computers are immensely complicated. Mind-bogglingly so. There is not _ONE_ person on this planet that can tell you everything there is to know about a computer. ( despite claims to the contrary! )
So, the few of us that spend half our lives learning and trying to understand this amazingly complicated tool are slightly pissed off when someone comes around and says that everything should me easy.
Computers are already a bazillion times easier to use than just ten years ago. Ask anyone who read an MS-DOS 3.11 manual to get an old XT working.
My point is, computers require a bit of effort to use, and there is no way around it.
Red Hat is not really getting away with this, as they are losing a lot of their former free help.
But, on the other hand, the older versions of RedHat use older versions of source, and face it, when you are a developer, why would you want to re-invent the wheel on old source when the problem has already been fixed in a newer version of the software.
Then again, in sources based Distro's, and Debian, I believe you get updates on every part of the distro, so you are always using the latest source, and thus no problems with EOL'ing stuff.
Binary Distro's Like Red Hat does not make much sense these days anymore...
Am I the only one in here that do not type out my web pages in a text editor? I happen to prefer the WYSIWYG web editing of Mozilla, which is missing from the Firebird releases. I, for one will be very unhappy to see the main branch of Mozilla discontinued just because of this.
ATI has made some truly amazing cards, and I am the proud owner of a all-in-wonder-radeon. Linux support is coming along nicely, and it looks like ATI is supporting the Linux community quite nicely. As per usual and ANY new piece of hardware, some hand- tuning might be nessesary.:)
