The unfortunate truth is that for Microsoft to do business differently the attitudes of people in a lot of different positions has to change.
Just to name a few: Investors have to realize that pumping money into a company that turns around and puts the money in the bank is ultimately the same as putting their money into their own bank.
Businesses have to realize that the one-supplier solution for IT is as bad as a one-supplier solution for anything else.
The government has to realize that they don't want a company competing with them for control over the masses.
I think they should capture more realism by just advertising the Mars Explorer models. Then, when all the kids come to play with them, they would just have the empty display. Maybe the control panel could display, "SEARCHING FOR SIGNAL...".
Does anyone else think that the problems with getting something on Mars kinda gives validity to the whole "we didn't really land on the moon" conspiracy theory?
He's completely wrong about why things change once a person gets "out in the real world". It has nothing to do with how abilities, real or imagined, are valued.
High School is all about stuffing people from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds into a small space and expecting them to get along. Once you get out of high school and college your sphere of social interaction becomes limited to only people in your general class. In other words you have more control so you choose to be around people that won't beat you up or degrade you.
