  1. Portugal on Cornell Implementing Bandwidth Charges · · Score: 0

Here in Portugal almost all ISP have bandidth limits like 20GB Nacional and 1Gb International... If there were mirrors but not only a few mirrors only with RedHat ISO's, so we don't have access to large Opensource projects. And the technical support *sux*, they only know what Windows is, if you ask them what Linux is or even a Mac they can't answer you... The only good ISPs are ViaNetWorks and KPNQwest...

  2. Calendar on Office 2003 Beta 2 Screen Shots · · Score: 0

I think Microsoft needs a real calendar not a Calendar Application. It seems that they can't release a program at time. Always in the middle of the year or in the next year... :p When Office 2k3 is in the stores we can start buying our Xmas gifts or something like that... They haven't original names too... XP !?!? When did Apple released OS X....

  3. Safari, KeyNote, AppleWorks on Safari Killing Opera for Mac OS X? · · Score: -1, Offtopic

Maybe Steve Jobs is going to present a new office in the next public presentation in NYC!? a new version of AppleWorks redesigned and better then Office X. Apple is trying to kick M$ ass, in my opinion... Mac OS X can come with Safari as it comewith iPhoto etc...

Small Ship hein? Ok Apple uses 802.11g since the Keynote in 7 Jan. (airport extreme) why are they going to use an old technology??

  5. Troubles on Linux Is Cheaper · · Score: 1
You only got troubles with Linux if you have a dumb SysAdmin!!!! The problem isn't in Linux but in the SysAdmins who don't understand what Linux is... In some cases they now what Linux is but they only know about M$ Appz when you ask them about "lpd" for example they' would ask you "Hey does that thing run on M$ Windoze?"

Sorry for my poor english, but I live in a stupid country that some people call "Portugal"....

:) I've the same question I use OpenOffice in my linux box but when I tried to install it here on my Mac it required X11 (XDarwin). Hope it works without X11 now.. :)

  8. Mac OS X on Linux to Become #2 on the Desktop? · · Score: 1

Most people don't really know what Mac OS X is... It's an OS unix like BSD Systems but it has a great UI. Thoose Aqua Guides are simply the greatest guides I've ever seen. Linux is great for servers but you can forget the Desktop it will kill the linux as we know it (simple and fast)
