Forgot to add - why not make the keys seethrough so you can really enjoy the light show! And, I wanna see one thats pressure sensitive - now that WOULD be very cool
How long before we can have multicoloured ones? And then, how long before someone comes up with a cool hack to make the lights flash!
Lucky its not microsoft made, or you'd see patches coming out from day one to prevent script kiddies from taking over the control of the lights and annoying you senseless.
Just wondering if anyone has read some of the stuff Matt did on textfiles.com? Not really sure if it was him, but theres some stuff there by a guy called Matt Groening (or however its really spelt).
Just love that stuff about why should anyone buy comic books if they can read them online. So Matt won't be expecting anyone to be buying any of the Simpsons comic books once I buy a few, scan them and stick them online?
Hehehehe, love the use of there you got goin there.
The sheer possibilities for marketing here are amazing - I used to play a game called Diaspora run by a company called Altitude (a cloan of it can now be found at http://www.rillaspora.com). Basically a space-trading game, the company was trying to sell advert space in the online bars I believe. They failed.
You could have a virtual McDonalds, Starbucks, and then have virtual anti-capitalists to break the windows in Starbucks whilst ordering a latte.
And how long before the citizens of the virtual community have their own computers and networks? Imagine - virtual LAN parties! woohoo!
Iam currently applying to study a mixture of comp.sci and electrical/electronic eng at uni for 2003 in the UK, and I've found the number of girls applying for CS is low, but is actually slightly higher in EEE and computer engineering (i.e. CS+EEE).
I have to say though, the girls applying to study humanities (english, history etc) are much better looking than their science counterparts in general;)
Perhaps if Universities made CS more sex-ay they'd get more girls applying - like, why not have a module on computer fashion?:)
The question to really ask is what would you wanna do with one of those anyway? I think I'd use one to get to college in, depends how many miles to the gallon I could get tho;)
Someone said its selling at > 1mil, so why not go for the pragmatic solution of making one yourself (and whos gonna tell you not to fly one you've just made?!) - yes, thats right, 200 grands worth of battery powered hair dryers, a few office fans...also powered by battery....and you could make your own!
Alternativly, collect bird feathers, glue them together with wax hence making yourself fake wings. I mean, come on, no one will have thought of that before!

The solution would be just to get rid of the ping command ;)
