I pulled out my old NES a few weeks ago to play the 4 or so games I had for it. Got 3 of them working (Excitebike won't, but I've got the N64 version of that at least) most of the time. Takes 8 or 9 tries to get them working.
So, my latest obsession has been just trying to get games to work. Just like the good old days.
...but I have to use public computers a lot at school (commute, can't afford a laptop). Switching back and forth was horrible. I went from being a decently fast QWERTY typist to a crappy QWERTY typist on public computers and an almost decent Dvorak typist at home. It wasn't worth the hastle of switching back and forth on a regular basis, I'd never be able to make myself more efficient without being able to focus on one or the other. Since QWERTY is more common, I decided to just use it at this point.
I will admit that I miss having the semicolon where the Z is on a QWERTY keyboard.
Personally, I'm just trying to make my "online experience" a little better. Microsoft isn't exactly going to welcome Opera users into their websites with open arms whether 5% of people are using Opera or 50%. I use hotmail (which I'm sure is flame-worthy in and of itself), and I don't like the nag screen before I can check my E-mail.
Sure, it's not an attitude that benefits the many, but I don't think I'm required to use every decision to benefit the many. I'm allowed to have a few for myself. This happens to be one of them.
If the "indentify as" option is so unhealthy to Opera, I'm wondering why they have it in the first place.
I have Opera set to identify as MSIE 6.0. Maybe there's something I'm missing out on by doing so, but at least this way I don't get warnings from Hotmail or, as this article says, different pages.
The computer labs at the college I go to are full of Dell's, so hopefully when they've replaced the current computers, floppies will be gone from the school. The drives get used so much that roughly every other disk is ruined, and working there I need to deal with the angry people who have just lost papers.
Of course I'm sure people will just stick their floppies in the zip drives now (more than they already do, at least) and complain when they get stuck.
I know, but I like the challenge. Plus this way is free and I'm cheap. Very cheap.

"I'm a real girl...finger me and I'll prove it to you!"
Wrong, only 17% of people know that.

I heard tomato and tobacco seeds, plus a little uranium, leads to a very addictive treat. Just keep the farm animals away.
I love the fact that Germany has a "beer purity law." Gotta respect that in a country.
Does the US have anything like that?

Wow, my bad, you're absolutely right. Guess I haven't been to msn.com in a while.
Oh well, at least I don't get the warnings when I try to go to hotmail.com now.

I was hoping they were caused by something cool like mass-hypnosis or alien mind control.
