Been working on and off with Omnis since 1994. Incredibly stable, rich and elegant development environment. Truly cross platform--I am currently working in an environment where our lead developer is developing on OSX while we are deploying to Windows client sites.
The only downside to Omnis would be it is a relatively obscure product, which can make risk-averse management wary of it. But that is offset to by a stable, *incredibly* helpful, and rabidly loyal developer community that's been around since the eighties.
For cross-platform development, I cannot think of any other tool (incl. Java) that comes close to Omnis.
