I really don't see why anyone would be afraid of new vehicle technologies. It's simply going to remove all the annoying things that we've grown used to do but will no longer have to burden ourselves with.
I'm not sure how that is possible... take a look at the history of the Compact Disk. It clearly states that the Compact Disk was available for public consumption in the 80s.
The real thing to do is to read all the corporate email, given you have access to it, and study it all day instead of working. If you do this then you will know whom to avoid at all costs and who might actually have a small grain of intelligence. Create a database/spreadsheet, depending on your expertise, and make a report with graphs to keep your heads up on office wide trends;)
This is my sentiment exactly. The only real avenue for this sort of union like organizations in the tech industry, that I know of, are corporations with a great reputation. It comes as no surprise that our entire industry faces this sort of situation without a common work force that sets a high standard for quality.
It might be a good idea to analyze the methods of companies that program software for airlines and medical equipment. What we need is a union, much like steel worker unions, to bring us together based on rigid standards and high levels of expertise. If anyone knows of anything like this please let us all know and I will definitely sign up.
Yes and EA is married to itself. It still irks me that they should be crediting Sega for giving them a great platform to make their sports games yet they never supported the Dreamcast. EA Sucks! =)
I still have not pushed Linux with games much, the few times that I have there has not been very good results. It sure would be nice if video drivers for Linux weren't an afterthought but a high priority.:(
Well, I don't think you can blame them for wanting the software companies that have signed on with them to get money. Sure you're using it for legitimate uses but most people are definitely not.
WDDX is another subset of XML, of course it's been superseded by other standards but there are implentations of it within most web languages so if you want to use it it's already supported there.
219 cd
:) Oh and wget made it to number 11.
188 ls
82 vi
45 fgrep
31 su
22 rm
20 mv
8 grep
8 find
6 ssh
This is on a server that I don't ssh out of often so thus it is #10.

I did the same and am sitting at a 290.15% gain on my investment.
