As long as your source is 'closed', you shouldn't have much to worry about. Cause how is anybody supposed to know that you used a patented algorithm in your code unless they reverse engineered it--which is illegal according to the DMCA. Go nuts.
This is making me very angry (for a number of reasons). It is disturbing to see how many slashdotters think that this is ok. It's not, and I'll tell you why.
1. The companys in the RIAA should NOT OWN THE COPYRIGHT to every piece of music they put out, THE ARTIST SHOULD!!!!!
2. The average artist gets paid less then 10 cents for each CD sold. not only that, but the entire cost of producing the record come out of the artists share.
3. Hows is the artist hurt by having more people listen to their music? The answer: they're not. This just cuts into the sale of the vapid ClearChannel approved artists. SALES FOR INDEPENDANT ARTISTS ARE HIGHER NOW THEN THEY HAVE EVER BEEN. This is why p2p is such a threat!
I think its time for music fans and musicians to unite and put the fascist labels out of business.
My favorite part is when Val Kilmer cuts a thin slice of some steaming solid cylinder to use as a slug in the coffee machine, and the other guy says
"Is that liquid nitrogen?"
HAH! (in case you don't get it its funny cause its a solid)
I have been releasing GPL fonts for the past year. My latest one looks very nice and contains 350 + glyphs (including accented characters). It is hard to get the word out though, find them at:
