You've got a point, the market for very very low priced items is hard for the consumer where there's enourmous choice between an array of similar looking items - a hard choice between, and a long time to search among "equivalents".

But, for a micropayment purchase, the risk for the consumer though is less - it might be only be 50c, so only this amount is lost if the goods are rubbish (assuming payment system isn't subject to fraud).
