  1. Re:Similarity on NASA Seeks Geniuses and Visionaries · · Score: 1

By the time you get back, the technology will have changed to the point where you will basically be considered a retarded individual. You won't fit into society at all so you will be placed in a museum environ so people can gawk at the ancient man. As for your money, good luck having any when you come back. Within that time it will likely have been absorbed by the current govenemnt or society that simply doesn't agree or care what agreeement you made that long ago. Sounds real appealing.

Nonsense. Arizona doesn't change and they aren't having kids run over because it is dark.

"...These new active glasses that you're wearing and seeing 3-D with are a breakthrough in technology." "Active glasses" or shutter based glasses are not new. They shutter each eye so the right or left eye will see one side while the other eye's view is blacked out. It happens quickly enough and does create 3D but it DOES cause bad headaches after about 20-30 minutes of use. These have been available for some time now on computers. I even had a pair when I had an Amiga computer. Last time I saw 3D that didn't give me a headache was using Polaroid lenses in the frames. No flickering, no headaches and very clear 3D in full color.
