There are numerous hints, hits and misses about the wetware factor in the next 100 years. However, I even with my ego I can't believe that even the manner in which my brain approaches answering this question will be the manner in which a human brain will be applied to solve the question in 100 years. I am almost certain that the brain of my grandparents in the 1920s couldn't have fathomed fuel-injection in a car let alone drive by wire throttles. It is fun to posit what the future may bring but the decision making and predictive processes that I own now will be archaic in 100 years.
Damn, that flies in the face of my years of belief that ants are really the tanks of a much smaller super-intelligent being or wait was it that ants were the only appendage we can see of another dimensional being. Nothing like a slashdot networking discussion to ruin my years of ant theory.
