Don't subscribe to unselectable folders -- Thunderbird will show them in italics and won't complain when you click on them.
Embedded doesn't imply real-time. No one claims Embedded Linux is an RTOS (Though you can get things like RTLinux for real-time performance).
You also need to leave some of the address space available for hardware: boot ROMs, PCI memory regions (e.g. video card memory), memory mapped I/O and the like.
