    no!!!
    scriptlanguages are comming,
it is all well known(faster development, cool maintaince if your code is good sorted, less code,
less problems to import somethings, [to use it :-)])
pythons set of commands is much cleaner,
but perl rules !!! for various reasons.
one is the leck of python like whitspace terror.
perl is more about freedom than eny other lang.
    larry written enough(postmodern) about.
perl(6) is always a step ahead(look at php). it seems to learn much faster then other lang, of cource it is older but remind TCL is much older than perl but no step ahead. i believe that
perl 6 will be great cause i enjoy everytime
to read about, it will be in many things ahead of anything(read http://dev.perl.org/perl6//). perl has i great community. this provides a lot of exchange(cpan is easy). haskell is cool to but slow(for a use in apps) and not often used, so you have to fight for yourself. and lua too lighweight for apps. ok some people like python more, and tcl is'nt dead, but script languages will become more important for most apps.
