Check w/ your state's Attorney General office. They may have information about any laws re: spam abuse in your state. If your state doesn't have laws in place, your AG may still be interested and helpful.

I've been spoofed a several times (a spammer put MY email address in the reply box of their message.) If anyone replied to the spam message it came to me (along with the 1,000s of auto-replies "message can not be delivered to xxx address" etc.) It was absolutely horrible.
If an authorization system was used, spammers may just select an actual address at random from their spam lists and put it in the reply to trick the system.
I wish Gonorrhea upon all spammers.
