Being able to take multiple sources, evaluate them all, then form your own opinions is more valuable than just reading something in one place once. That's only my opinion though, and it is always horses for courses.

While this is certainly valuable for certain things such as who to vote for etc. For a factual article/report it is not so much forming an opinion that is important as finding certified facts to support that opinion.

The space station would most likely move, however it is also likely that the mass of the space station will be many times greater than the space craft so the actual effect will be minimal.
Yes, because I trust the billionaire to be my friend. Even amongst billionaires, this guy is a grade A USDA asshole. Even Gates, who I detest, *makes* something and sells it. This guy speculates on currency, no? Gambling on something that wasn't meant to be gambled upon... the US Treasury doesn't run a casino. He considers the world his plaything, as only a billionaire elitist can, and he wants to make it more compliant to his wishes. If he starts agreeing with your own opinions, you need to re-evaluate them yourself...
I think that if you took time to look at Soros' background or even read the article and look at his past behavior (donating money to the Deomocratic party) you would see that this in not merely a ploy by Soros. He has been solidly against Bush for some time now. Also giving away 450 million a year through his foundation is not something to be sniffed at. Just because someone has money doesn't mean they are 'evil' or a 'grade A USDA asshole'. Soros worked his way to the top, and now he is giving back.

  5. Fedora Fine for Me on OSNews Rates Fedora Core 1 Mild Disappointment · · Score: 5, Interesting

I am using Fedora right now to write this comment. While some of the bugs mentioned in the article are valid points, I have no problems with multimedia playback, using yum and rpm.livna.org to download mplayer, xine and xmms-mp3 was quite painless. Perhaps the author should have subscribed to the fedora mailing list before he tried the distro. The RPM problem has been fixed, installation of ATI 3D drivers was painless.

I just want to give a big THANK YOU to the whole Fedora team. The release had its problems but I am happy with my setup!
