    You are right, Canada is becoming more and more apealing by the day.

    It's nice and cool (love cold climate), people are nice, rights are respected, gay people can marry (I'm not gay but I don't see why not keep the option open for the hell of it), and they have that Maple Leaf T-Shirt thing going on.

    A little trollish, but I'll bite because I'm a sucker =)

    I should be able to post my email on the net without fear of some shameless spammer harvesting it. I finnaly posted my personal address on just a few forums and now I receive at least 50 spam a day. I never consented for it to be mailed to (use a hotmail account for web sign-ins) so only a damn bot could have gotten it.

    But you ahve to ask yoruself, WHY would you put Windows in a robot? That seems kinda stupid to me. You dont need IE, Exchange compatibility, or a cheezy GUI for a robot. Plus you need fricken 256 megs of ram and a license just to use it, why would ANY robot run windows?

    DRM would be fine but knowing how these people think they would be lower quality. Hell, native-HDTV resolution can be compressed into just 700 megs no problem. Have a custom bittorrent tracker set up (only allows connections if the IP address is in the database) and distrobution would be a breeze.

    You would think there would be at least one person in charge with a freakin clue.

    Actually, I never delete episodes and just buy a new hard drive once my _TV drive fills. On my second one already.

    Hard drives are the ultimate storage medium. They are portable (in external housings), compatible across the board and fairly impervious to time.

    It's not like I watch commercials anyway. I always have my laptop nearby, Slashdot is way better than literally seeing a cialis comercial for the 200th time.

    But then you have to ask yourself, why not just download it for free? It is pretty pathetic that the free way (no DRM, way faster downloads, no bullshit, just good-quality encoding) is better than the paid way.

    Just like iTunes and stores like that. Why should I PAY to get 128kpbs quality music? I called bullshit and went back to WinMX.

    Oops, forget the Cat-5 part. With the advent of gigabiut internet youw ill be wanting CAT-6 and even CAT-7 for when it comes into common use. Wiring costs dirt, so load up on any connector you cna think up. It will also be a big plus if/when you sell the house.

    Don't forget having Cat-5 running in EVERY wall. It is important to be future friendly, especially with the new push for a "networked home".

    Also leave space for things such as the next generation of TV-connections and even devices you can not yet think of.

    No, thats a good thing. If you want outside reception, you can buy an outside antenna. Otherwise it is good to keep the signal inside your house and safe from evil wardrivers (and your stupid neighbor trying to log into to your porno network share and deleting all your Asian...Yes, Bill, I know it was you!)

    Have two air ducts availiable where your comptuer will be. Then you can pipe the hot air from a rear fan and PSU outside. Even better, you could also attach ducts to the front for ice-cold computing during the night or winter.
