Interesting point, i did not know Finder was written using powerplant, i figured it would have been build using IB. logically, according to a story i read a LONG time ago, theres no difference in speed between Cocoa and Carbon, only in available controls. Maybe the reason they moved the preview is because they decided using 2.5GHz procs instead of the 1.8GHz Power5 proc. just a brainwave... would be a real turnon though, 2.5GHz Mac running a 64-bit version of MacOS X... *shit, i had premature ejaculation because of these specs*
I'm happy to see the points they have been working on, just hope it makes Java on the mac more workable, and especially, LESS a pain in the ass!
