"It costs the cable company nothing for you to get free cable."
Please. Are you here because you're in IT or because you like trolling? That fallacy has been hashed to death right here many times. Material, staffing, electricity; to name a few variables.
Hey, an Anonymous Coward is cognizant of the length of time it takes to set up that massive of service and I agree, by the way.
Now, please explain why they set the deadline as they did? You understand it was part of that "We'll see once it's law." crap, right? They deserve ridicule just as much as any PHB that makes obscenely stupid decisions as to roll out.
When they make it law that you *must* sign up for the insurance at a given date then YES, I shall hold them responsible and up for ridicule for failing to support what they dictated you do.
It's not like they couldn't ask entities that actually serve that volume what it takes to do so or read a magazine article about it. Also not like they're hamstrung for the cash.
Not fact at all. His use of the plural "voters" in no way stated that opinion. He may disagree with the outcome, but I'm quite certain he recognizes his inclusion in the plural. He was addressing the results, not the individuals. You're being too pedantic. The voters, taken in mass, *are* responsible.
I happen to agree that eliminating a citizen status for corps isn't a bad thing. Do you, however, continue on and believe that, because they're abstract entities and not citizens, they shouldn't be taxed, as all their employees and owners are already taxed?
"The sun shone brightly, streaming into their contented lives to bring warmth and security, allowing them all to feel it's glowing influence. Or so they wished."
My guess is that the program wouldn't find that grim or depressing at all. Context is everything.
I recommend the Verbatim. Feels like a business keyboard should, solid and with a heft that keeps if from moving around like the lightweights. Plus you get sound. Feels so nice I bought an extra in case mine gives out some day and they aren't available.
Seriously? Paper cannot get bigger. What a worthless comparison. Most people put their desk papers in stacks and move the necessary ones into the middle to work on.
So, losing hours in order to scurry and compete to find them elsewhere is beneficial and produces extra money? And working *two* jobs is a better thing? No.
They *already* had that extra money. It was taken away.
Unmitigated bullshit, hold up a mirror. You provide personal anecdote laced with highly biased language without any form of support and then drop into ad hominem. Not sure I believe your post.
Not necessarily, but his point might be that there's certainly no guarantee that without Obamacare they wouldn't start and that anyone saying it will encourage startups is simply guessing, which would be correct.
"Let's be honest and call out the ignorant Social Conservatives specifically for hating the idea of helping anyone who's different from them. "
Let's be honest and call out the ignorant liberals specifically who cannot tolerate anyone different as well.
The second paragraph is simply a set of lies and pomposity.
Kind of like the symbiosis of the Democrats and CNN, et al. Both sides are guilty.
"You ignore your own system,"
No, you just don't understand our system.
Extremism: Pelosi, Reid. Both sides have extremes.
Obama: "I will not negotiate."
"It costs the cable company nothing for you to get free cable."

You know, I listened to that same broadcast. You didn't talk about the laughter and admission it was a joke afterward.
See how unsupported anecdote works?

Or maybe they should have "just worked smarter"?

PS: What the hell does meeble mean?
Completely untrue. There are independents holding office as high as Senate.
Your argument fails axiomatically because there *are* a number of honest, normal people in office. They are a minority, but they are there.

If that is made impossible later, I will of course be reading elsewhere.
I'm guessing he probably doesn't bite the heads off of chickens. Don't project.

Nice to see SlashDot editors modding down disagreeing opinion into troll.
No. Newspapers in 1811 had two (or more) columns. It highly doubt any metrics were taken and analyzed back then.
Actually, no. It was not *this* bill, it was an idealized and unread bill. Remember 'We'll see what's in it once it's law'?
NEITHER side listens to people. Flush the entire crew and repopulate the gov.
