1. Buy an cheap pager and take it apart 2. remove the LCD and you have your contacts 3. hook up some type of controller to the contacts for each digit or LCD "section" 4. connect your LEDs to the controller 5. plug it in to power 6. call your pager number...hmmm the possibilities.

I don't know where you get your pager service from, but its about $30 A YEAR here on earth...
