Do telecoms know how many people belive that internet is "google.com"? I've seen hundreds of people entering urls at the search box of google.com. And if you ask them to write the url at the proper place they look at you with puzzled faces...
What google should do is pull the plug. Customers will not understand why they are not getting internet on their connection.
I believe that in "Red Mars" Book (from the Mars Trilogy) one of the ways of getting funds to send all the people they send to mars is a sort of reality show. And I wonder WHY the NASA doesnt make it with - for example - the in day life inside the shuttle. Im sure a lot of advertisers would love their "product placement" in the ISS.
All DSL users in the Spain go through Telefonica's servers. That means that the whole country DSL service email is screwed. Cool... thats a great solution. This is as if you had a big tree in your garden and a leave gets rotten. To stop the problem you cut the whole tree.
The funny side of all this is that most of the spam i receive comes from the United States assuring me my penis is not big enough, that I should buy viagra to have better sex, and that my credit card is not good enough. The ammount of spam within this 3 topics sometimes makes me think that the United States is full of people that is either broke, they have not "enough" to satisfy their couples and that their sexual relations are crap...
I specially like the Brainwave Generator. Its not a joke. It works. Its the best way to get relaxed if you are very stressed. Or to get a great sleep experience.

Just a correction:
There is also an Airport in the island -it was difficult to build up as there is no flat land in La Gomera (actually they filled up the space between 2 mountains to build it up). The airport has a couple of flights every day with the 2 biggest islands of the archipielago ("Tenerife" and "Las Palmas"). But I really prefer the Ferry. Quite fast actually (only 40 minutes from Tenerife) and you can bring your car with it.:-)

yes, the airport (only in spanish) is fairly recent. Was built in 1999
