  1. Re:Security Fixes on FreeBSD 4.9 Released · · Score: 2, Informative

Security fixes for FreeBSD are released as part of the RELENG branch for a particular release version. 4.9 (presumably) includes all the security fixes which were released since the 4.8 release, which were announced on the 4.8 errata page. The 4.9 errata page is here. The security fixes are usually released concurrent with any vulnerability announcement, but it's still up to users to read the handbook and patch their own systems.

no, they can't do that, but they do. i protested a Jewish United Fund fundraiser for Israel with a friend of mine two years ago and we were nearly arrested because we were carrying signs in a public park. All the people who were participating in the fundraiser also had signs, but ours were illegal because they contradicted the mission of the group who had the permit for the park. People were also recreating in the park at the time, and wearing shirts which advertised products like Pepsi and Nike, but if the message were political and contradicted the JUF's message, it was somehow illegal and cause for arrest.

Faris Odeh was the subject of that photograph, and he was later shot by Israeli soldiers in Gaza. The photo was accurate, as Israeli tanks are driven by Israeli soliders who exhibit little compunction about shooting children.

Also worth mentioning is that Darrell Issa is the grandson of Lebanese immigrants. There's an Arab American in the congress who hooks corporate donors in his district with contracts in occupied Iraq, Lieutenant General John P. Abizaid who is the deputy commander of U.S. forces in Iraq and the child of Lebanese immigrants--what could be more American than this?
