The user has to elect to turn or leave CommercialSkip on for each recording. Regardless of the commercialSkip setting, commercials are recorded. During playback, if CommercialSkip was activated, commercials are automatically skipped. Also, if the user wishes to view commercials, she she can turn off CommercialSkip during playback.
