MS has always committed to standards in the first place and then made slight modifications to their implementation. So everyone was forced to use their products to get it right.

There are still things that bug me ever since I first realized them under windows 2000. Like the Iconic preview in Explorer: if you switch the names of two pictures in icon view the cache gets all confused and the shown icons do not fit to its files anymore.

It is quite possible that the virus had spread before it died outside your body. And don't forget the micro of your headset! Don't use it to talk to anyone until you bathed it with your kids.

I can only confirm: sp1 installation worked like charm for me!
The only thing that made problems was the trend micro internet security: the "new" version 16.1 (which should be sp1 compatible) does not accept my license code anymore...
