    Yes, alright!
If your car runs slowly on the highway or out of gas - it is of course - guess what - Vista's fault! Since there is a laptop with Vista on your backseat. Turned on and optimizing!
And it disrupts your mobile phone reception, and it is - of course - the cause for you running late...

    Incredibly creative management excuse!

well, yes alright - marketing... hm.
don't you guys forget about the business strategy? MS has always committed to standards in the first place and then made slight modifications to their implementation. So everyone was forced to use their products to get it right.
I am sure they still believe that this is a cruzial part of their survival... even though the landscape has changed.

Do you really think rethinking and remaking the whole OS would bring out something more stable than Vista 2 ?!
Are you working for the MS marketing dept.? ;-)

You had to fire all the marketing people to accomplish this. That's were the feature creap comes from... just kidding (uh).

A better balance in MS decision making between techs and marketing sure would do the job.

EXACTLY! "Features" (!) 1-200.000 should be reliablity and usability.

There are still things that bug me ever since I first realized them under windows 2000. Like the Iconic preview in Explorer: if you switch the names of two pictures in icon view the cache gets all confused and the shown icons do not fit to its files anymore.

If Google would not save the data it simply could not give them away! Viacom is surely not suing because of Copyright infringements. They sure want the Google-Gold: user patterns! Another day to show how much more sensible we should be with our data tracks and personaly identifieable information when ever we "trust" a company that is good today. What if it bought by an evil company tomorrow?! Or sued?

  9. In case you had bluetooth or Wlan turned on... on What Is the Best Way To Disinfect Your Laptop? · · Score: 1

In case you had bluetooth or Wlan turned on during incubation time, you should quickly speak to your laywers and alarm public authorities. It is quite possible that the virus had spread before it died outside your body. And don't forget the micro of your headset! Don't use it to talk to anyone until you bathed it with your kids. (just kidding.)

It may be the best tool in the world - I admit I do not know it. But the word "proved" makes me suspicious. To me this sounds like the typical - and wide spread - management speak to make business decision makers and their insurrers sleep well. Thank you! This gives the perfekt example that the misleading wording is even used by educational bodies.
Is this is a proof or do some mistakenly think they're safe?

Who "proved" Astree to be error free in the first place?!

I can only confirm: sp1 installation worked like charm for me! The only thing that made problems was the trend micro internet security: the "new" version 16.1 (which should be sp1 compatible) does not accept my license code anymore...

It is better for a minority - I am sure.
