This is a major problem for IMAX to overcome... You didn't see OCEAN'S ELEVEN in IMAX... you saw it projected from 35mm onto an IMAX screen.
A LOT of theatres appear to be using their IMAX screen to show "enhanced 35mm" presentations, and it is creating a LOT of confusion with the public. For the record.. there have only been TWO Hollywood films released in this new remastering process: APOLLO 13, and ATTACK OF THE CLONES. Any others have just been 35mm films projected on an IMAX screen.
The major difference between the past IMAX DMR releases, and the upcoming MATRIX movies is that there is no longer a 2 hour limit on the running times of the movies. The MATRIX sequels will be uncut.
