I understand your logic and I understand why someone might say that (even though I don't personally agree). My comment I guess is in the wording of the parent post:

The poster sounds like he is convinced that God caused the affliction, therefore I would say he believes that God exists and is not a true athiest. He is just angry with the god he does believe in.
Also, as you say, many religious folks are not good at understanding logic, but I find that many non-religious people are quick to dismiss things that are hard to take:

Please don't take this as a criticism of you, I just wanted to clarify what I meant in my previous post.
It would be interesting to have them not limit the matches returned to just celebrities, but to return matches to other users of the system. Then you could see if you have an evil (or good) twin out there somewhere.
