I would doubt very much that price harvesting is illegal. For a comparison I would refer to the case a few months back where a large company attempted to use the DMCA to protect its price information.
From what I recall it was deemed that information published on the internet was in the public domain and therefore freely available. It is why the best buy bargain sites are still around.
