maybe read the book, it's more then fairly technical, it's a damn good book.

I don't think the author would give you the time of the day, even if you where the last person on earth :)

Linux is not sexy, it's interesting, it's technical. Why the hell would people want something that's sexy?

I hate to dissapoint you, but I've learned more from Carla and other women then I've learned from all my male colegues & friends.
for what it's worth, read the book you might learn something :)

    * Daddy's Roommate / Heather Has Two Mommies Well, need I say anything? These obviously don't belong in a school library. Six year old kids don't need to be learning about homosexuality anymore than they need to be learning about heterosexuality. Leave this stuff for the later years - like when they can at least tie their own shoes. IF these books are about homosexuality, then 95% of the books in the library are about heterosexuality, wich aren't necessary either according to you. The only thing they do is tell the same sappy story with one difference that this time the kid had 2 mommys or, their parents seperated and instead of getting a stepmommy, they get a stepdaddy. No Agenda is being persued, just the normal diversity of society is shown. Even the books about sex have a place in the library, as they inform people!

let me guess, you went to Barcelona, Paris, London, Amsterdam, Brussels, Copenhagen and the like (eg, the capitals of western Europe). As a European citizen, I'll paint you another picture: south of France, countryside in Spain, Italy (you don't have to go to the countryside there), countryside in Denmark, Switserland. when you leave Western and Southern Europe behind, and head to Eastern Europe, the knowledge of English is even less! (I only have experciences of Romania, Hungary and Czech Republic) I've been to all of these countries, and in each I've had problems using English, in some I've even had problems using anything but their own language.
