  1. Please do not make it look like chrome on 'See the Future Firefox Right Now' (cnet.com) · · Score: 1

The performance enhancement would be great. If they made us choose between extension and performance for a while, that is OK. The screen-shot tool can be nice. There are different keys cross different operation systems. On mac, everything I have to google bfore taking a screen-shot. The thing I really hated was the look! It is essentially copy of chrome. Firefox through years has a slick and beautiful UI. Small back and forward buttons. Tiny reload button at the end of url. Everything really nice, this is one of their biggest advantages over chrome. I hope it is not too late to send them the message that their users do not like this at all.

  2. Vim style shortcuts are missing :@ on Come Try Out Slashdot's New Design (In Beta) · · Score: 1

Well, the appearance sure seems better. However, please please enable vim shortcuts 'j', 'k' and optionally 'h', 'l' for comments To my knowledge slashdot was among to adopt, now gmail, (former google-reader), 9gags, google-plus and even recently facebook (in most places) are supporting these keys. It is shame for slashdot as pioneer and such a perfect functionality forgot to put these shortcuts while most slashdot reader are geeks who prefer to use keyboard!

  3. Here is some idea on Nvidia Engineer Asks How the Company Can Improve Linux Support · · Score: 1

Help open source community write a generic high level opengl/whatever they need This layer will be hardware indepenedant, then at least write something in Galliume3D interface for nvidia cards and maintain it. Do it anyway, if we use nVidia cards and want to switch to Wayland everything works alright. Do it in a way, my laptop backlights work! Do it in a way that is easy for sysadmins to maitain. Finally, if you want to keep the same source on every platform Galume3D is much better. If you think it misses feature, improve it.

  5. I feel that the life is becomming harder! on Proprietary Blobs and the Pursuit of a Free Kernel · · Score: 1

Instead of making progress, life is becoming harder for free-software (Thanks to Ubuntu). I myself use nivdia's priority driver I have a firmware for my network driver and touchpad and webcam!! By I hate these and I wish I had free drivers to use. The non-free driver really suck because: - Webcam has some glitches always, I have to do some hacks for every new version of kernel - It starts with some delay, why I do not know! - What if I do not like to the light be turned on when I use the webcam! Suppose I am doing something I need the capture something on the darkness! - the touch-pad also sucks! what if I want to use two or three finger sensing! if windows users can not use it, Should not I be able to use them? - the nvidia driver also sucks! after some distros ( suse, and ubuntu) the free driver almost started to dis-appear. eventually installing the non-free driver become a part of installation! - now nvidia rules! kms, we should wait for nvidia to support it! new x.org version, we should wait for nvidia! we want to do this we should wait for nvidia!!!
