I am not a believer that a computer can ever beat top human players at its full 19x19 Go game. My Go playing ability is around 1 dan level. I played against the "Many Faces of Go" version 12 a while back, ranked at 2Q. There simply isn't "Artificial Intelligence". One way to tell if a program is up to the task is simply let it take back a poor move. No, it can't and simply plays the same move.
Go is not about joseki. Manyfaces is only around 8k in the opening and weaker than 10k (i believe) in the mid game. A few fancy moves, throw it off the balance. In Japan, a student below 1D is a student.
"Go is the same sort of problem as Chess; it's a completely deterministic game".
You got it all wrong on Go.
Go is a strategic game, while the chess is tactical one. In Go, moves often than not are played for future influences with a little localized or imminent value. Playing chess like mangers manages your troops. Playing Go build like entrepreneurs from ground up. Compared to chess, Go has little rules that a computer can abide on.
I have the reservation if, ever, a computer can play and win against a human being on Go. The best commercially available computer Go playing software are still students.
I have been using FireFox for quite sometime and waiting for the next IE. One thing I really need is to be able to save a complete web as a single document. Like it or not, most of MS format are the standards(?). Either come up with a new format or support the MHT format. To be exclusive is not the way to go.

You are missing the point of calculus. We learn how to USE calculus, not calculus itself, unless you want to be a mathematician.
