I was in the RTA (Roads and Traffic Authourity, Aussie version of DMV) last week and they had moved all their desktops to OS X. I was quite interested as I had never seen a Gov. dept. using anything but Windows. I asked the guy behind the counter about his new iMac and he said they had "switched" about a month ago and everyone was happier for it. A little off topic I know but its good see other desktop solutions being implemented.
It would seem these updates arent the 970fx's where hoping for. Looking here and hereit seems there still using the 130nm process. If they were putting in the 90nm chips you would think this is something they'd highlight.
Hey,
Seriously I wasn't complaining. Some people were unsure of what the deal was. I just wanted to clarify the situation for those readers, like myself who didn't know. I actually think ( I know) for an app like GarageBand its a good deal.
Hey, I was just pointing out that Apple was actually charging for these things. I'm not complaining. I just wanted to clarify for some readers, like myself, what was actually happening.
the fine print at the bottom of the page reads "this web site and its contents might be considered advertising under your state's laws"
that about somes it up I'd say
There are three "Darwin"
DARWIN proper is the one used by Apple and coresponds directly with OSX releases.
OPENDARWIN was founded by Apple and ISC to allow more people to contribute to Darwin. Apple takes no responsibility for OPENDARWIN. Features found in OPENDARWIN may find there way into Apples DARWIN.
GNU-DARWIN is totally GPL. It was founded in response to APSL.

Moron, The portable media centre
Could someone please explain what this means. It comes up often and I don't get it.

Does anyone else get the sense Apple are going to release something on the 24th?
