That is what I was trying to say, but way better put together.
I might be more interested in a portable device.

Maps integrated with yellow pages and craiglist, with pretty pictures and IM....ect.. I might pay a nice price for a google handheld.
Call up the telco's, "This is Google. We are going to start a blackberry startup. Give our customers access where ever they are, and we will reward you with lots of cash."
I imagine that once they have the copy of the file they can reproduce it as many times as they like for internal use.
If thats the case then you can have 10 small theaters instead of 3 big ones. With the screens smaller the picture will be more crisp and the audience experience will only change with regards to how many people they are viewing the movie with. Changing the distance of the seats with respect to the screen will compensate for the "big screen" effect. As a result the resolution issue is no longer valid.
I for one would love to go out and see a movie with ten or fifteen friends, instead of a large amount of strangers. I mean it can be cool to see a movie like that, but given that most people suck, most times you get a A-hole who screams, or you have cellphones ringing, or some other type of biomass distraction.
Yeah, but that is fine. The first few years is where they make all their money. I have felt this way for a while. If record/music companies keep upping the anti with the quality of media they produce it is harder for pirates to keep up.
Sure, it all can be muxed down, but now your getting inferior media. They should look at file sharing as competition, and currently the competition is able to produce pretty an exact
copy for much less (read free).
I agree, there have been many albums I have purchased that after listening to for a little while all the way through, certian songs I wasn't in love with at first started to grow on me and in some cases became my favorite songs on the album.
I don't know about you, but I can't say after one listen wether or not I love a song, and usually if I can it is bubble gum that get gets old quickly.
Now I'm not saying people shouldn't be able to buy singles, that is stupid, but it would be sad to see albums go away. I don't think this would make that happen, if it is good an album it will sell.
