  1. That's how electricity works. on Lightning On Demand · · Score: 1

You're safe in any metal enclosure during lightning storms provided you aren't in direct contact with the metal. When lightning strikes, the electrons flow along the outside of the car as the metal shell has much less resistance than the person inside it. You don't need to be moving, and it has nothing to do with rubber tires.
(But if you don't move the car out from under the power line, good luck in getting out!)

  2. Use tags. on Code Fusion for Linux: Reviewed · · Score: 1

You know, if you set up tags in your project, going to a source file that contains a specific function in vim is as difficult as hitting CTRL-] on the function and CTRL-T to go back. You can use regexps if you use the ":tag" function.

So build one. With these new MP3 decoder chips, a microcontroller, a CD-ROM drive, and a smattering of glue logic, you should be able to put together one of these for less than $200 easily. And you can customize it to suit your own sense of aesthetics and usability.
