Agreed we need the popular vote however when the likes of Sunrise mix censorship with regulation they confuse the issue and ensure their viewers lose interest. Some of the popular presenters are outraged that the Internet is not regulated in the same way as broadcast is and thus this Internet filtering is a good thing. We need to help these people understand that what the Government are suggesting for the Internet is analogous to the Government placing a auditor on Channel 7 premise and checking every story before it is released.
I am continually surprised about how little the average person understands about this incredibly important issue and we need to do more to help them understand!
