Grab any WinCE device that has Nevo installed on it. This has to be the easiest thing I have ever used. It's programmable not only for all devices but can be programed for certain people profiles and to work in certain rooms. IE: Wreck room and Living room are two switchable profiles. Not to mention hotkey macros.
I got about 5 people to beta test linux. Everyone was realitivly happy with the results except for the small learning curve on how to use the copy and paste command.
There was one thing that everyone complained about that is a "Most" used feature in Outlook 97/Express and that is the ability to make "read recipts" option. For this simple reason I had to scrap it all and use the Lotus Calader and Outlook Express. However we now use Open Office for our word processing and save everything as a PDF that is sent to the clients.
Ok.. I have one of these Ipaq's with a removable SD card. I have 2x256 SD's with my MP3's on it.. It can play.wma files, which I use with Movie Maker to compress video down to 30meg files. This lets me watch tv shows that my PVR saved for me. And I have a regular Gameboy emulartor on it.
Plus word, excel, m$ money. notes, contacts, calader, etc... (Wish: Now only if the linux distro came with more practical apps.)
I know how you feel.. I carry my leatherman, phone and a Ipaq everwhere I go.
p.s. My PVR is a sweet little linux box that works flawless.
I live here in Quebec and we never lost any power. However my ISP never came back online until 24hours later. I was very disapointed with the results, however I really don't think it was the ISP fault more to the fact that Ma'Bell(www.bell.ca) had not backup power other then a 10min UPS running there routers.
I had a hidden mail order nintendo game that was strip poker. I was only 10 back then and man I was the coolest kid on the block that got invited to all the "all day nintendo parties" which normally consisted of Dragon Warrior, Metroid, Supermario 3, and Strip poker.
