I feel your pain...
I myself live in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada, which is roughly 30 minutes north of the USA/Canada border, and I constantly find restrictions on the internet not only as to what I can buy, but also what I can do!
Canada is pretty much as close as one can get to the good old US-of-A without actually being a Yank, and yet there are many, many things online not accessible to me as they are "US Only". So much for the Internet and "World Wide Web" bringing down borders....
