im reading from my cubicle at work, which is probably a common/. reading place. So my phone rings, and instead of saygin "Jasmina speaking" i say "SLASHDOT". There is a 5 sec pause, and the sales guy says "uhhh hello", and it was only at that point that i realize that my greeting was a little out of the ordinary.
The thing is that the web has a life of its own and it would be really hard to control it like that. Anyone can open a website anywhere and put almost anything on it. How would you force that random individual to be guilty for the virus they spread? The internet was not originally designed to be a controlled environment where you can hold others responsible if something bad happens to you; its not America. You have to watch your own ass.
Some things might be "morally" right, but could never happen in reality.
it is really convenient and nice for booksellers.. but im wondering about the details of this printing, i mean books come in all kinds of sizes shapes and forms. im making an assumption here, but this book printing would probably limit the number of different shapes and sizes the book can be. some book manufacturers might not like that. there is a certain degree of personality that is lost due to this kind of printing
