    -------

j'ai jamais vu une thread aussi bizarre sur slashdot! ahahaha!

and now, for those who claims that parti quebecois is racist, etc.. oh boy. we often get the label of "racist" society.. it's true that there is racism in our society, but i would say that we are much more tolerant than the usa or france..

i am a separatist, that doesn't make me an english-hater. not at all, it's only about the simple fact that we are different people so we want to run our buisness our way. we want to protect our culture. fuck, we're only 2% of the north american population! and it's decreasing slowly year after year..

one of the reason why i am a separatist, is that the english canada doesn't even make a bit of effort to undersand us. for example, i'm sure most of the english canadians are quite supportive of the irish opposed to the brittish, or the tibetans versus the chinese.. but hey, how do you think our situation is different?

in 1990, there was a canadian referendum about a new federal constitution propososal (l'entente de charlottetown). the result was that quebec said "no, that's not enough for us" and english-canada answered "no, it's too much for them"..

canada just doesn't work for us, we would be better on our own, and they would be better on their own too. all those fights will end when a) we will be separated or b) we will be assimilated. i personally prefer a).

i very much understand the fear of the english-speaking population of quebec (they're mainly in montreal) about what would happen if we separate.

but, i am personally very glad to have english friends. i am very happy to see all the nice english girls when i get drunk at the mad hatter (pub on maisonneuve ouest).

but those that don't even want to learn a bit of french, those that want to start fights by calling us fucking frogs, well they're better leaving for ontario.

    vive le quebec libre!

Once again, the term fascist is being used to describe someone who is right-wing (Conrad Black). Take a history lesson boyo, and you will learn what a real fascist is.

well, maybe fascist is a strong word, but black is not very far from it. Hey, ever read what he say against people from québec, especially the bad and evil separatists like me?

chretien is a fucking moron too. so i think it's quite funny to see these two morons fighting for that stupid british lord title.

your post was interesting until this:

try to remember that the United States is a great protector of freedom, and many of the countries listed in the article have pledged to kill all Americans in the name of religion, or wish to deny people a free market and choice via the use of the communist system.

    please!! you are very naive!
i suppose giving a hand to pinochet helped protect people's freedom in chilli?

it's maybe true that north american citizens enjoy more freedom, but the USA is the country that did the most trouble on earth for the past decades.

i suppose you believe your government when they say they're going to kosovo protect the poor people over there, or they're going to koweit protect the orphan babies from the bad and evil irakian? what about viet nam? and the list goes on

i'm not saying that americans are more evil than anyone else, anyone else would have done this at their place, maybe even worse.

but do not forget that the normal chinese citizen, or russian citizen, is much more your friend than your government.

there's an anarchist slogan that says "if democracy really worked, it would have been banned since a long time"

oh, before you call me a radical eastern european or whatever, let me say that i live in north america. in quebec. do you know where it is? sadly, a lot of americans think the world stops at their frontier.

and sorry for my bad english spelling

3 - A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

From Handbook of Robotics, 56th Edition, 2058 A.D., as quoted in I, Robot. In Robots and Empire (ch. 63), the "Zeroth Law" is extrapolated, and the other Three Laws modified accordingly:

i use slick edit too, and it is by far the best editor i've found for coding (but i also use jed or fte when i'm in text mode).

what i really like about slick edit it's how easy you can configure everything you like (key bindings, syntax highlight)..

and it's also available on a lot of platform (win 32, os/2, many unix flavors, even os/390!)

but it's no free software. and it uses motif.
there's also a very annoying bug.. i always switch between slick and a xterm, but everytime i get back to slick, the focus is on the menubar. argh!

yup, i miss skinny puppy too. by far my favorite band.

but don't expect any reunion soon, there's still a lot of shit going between ogre and cevin.
there should be another download, tear garden, plateau soon.. and ogre's working with mark walk. yeah, it's not skinny puppy, and it will never be the same (dwayne). but it's better than nothing.

btw, here's an interesting link for any puppy fans:

about reznor and manson, they're just poor rip-off of nivek ogre from skinny puppy. sad he's never recognized for this.. anyway, i don't know if a lot of slashdot readers are into skinny puppy? by far my favorite band. i'm mostly into electronic and punk music. and philip glass :P

i suppose i'm off topic and i'll be moderated down, oh well. for once we could talk about something else than license wars, red hat == microsoft, kde vs gnome, etc..

yes. and like always, hollywood change the story with his own recipe.. i just saw the preview, but i can say that the actor is completely different from martin drainville. it's not a surprise, just remember the remake from french movies like la totale, 3 hommes et un couffin, etc.. etc..

i wonder how the americans would do an elvis gratton remake. i think falardeau would shot himself.
