I spent the past summer doing the typical cross country road trip thing. I met nothing but nice people all along the way and only ever stayed in a hotel a few times (vegas and reno). With people worrying about safety it is just like any other online venture, if you don't trust someone, don't invite them over, simple as that. I stayed with people in st.louis, albequerque, santa cruz, san diego, L.A., all over. Everyone I met was super nice and just awesome people in general, I recommend couchsurfing highly. On: Reviving A Dead Hard Drive The Hard Way

I had the same notion a while back when my ibm deskstar 75 gxp died on me. The warranty on it is still good but I want to get the data I had off of it before I go through the whole rma process. Does anyone know of a way to get a logic board for my hard drive, model number dtla-307045 ? Do you think if I brought it to a tech support place like compusa or the like they could get a logic board and install it for me?
