  1. Nope it was just VW. Certainly not Mercedes! They would NEVER do that. Diesels are clean. It is amazing how angry people get when their myths get popped. Oh yeah, Nokia made the best phones too.

  2. Nah, let them believe it was just VW. Yup, just VW. They rest of your diesels are "clean".

  3. Thats true. No other European manufacturer did it. Nope. Not one. Just VW.

  4. The funniest part of this saga is the decades that Americans had to listen to Europeans going on and on about how their clean diesels were infinitely superior to the American gas guzzlers. Turned out the whole thing was a lie and they inhaled it for decades.

What is getting done here? I am not producing any luxury car for the 1% to drive around in? I missed my calling in life...

  6. Here is another fact that is going to SHOCK you. Electric cars are not sustainable. No really, they aren't. Having a private car isn't sustainable. It is a luxury for the 1% in the world. I know, you are going to get really upset by that (but "mah freedom"). Nothing is wrong with having a private car, but to say it is "sustainable" is a joke. Having it cost $75k - $150k is just more of a joke.

That is a pretty cool idea: a camera that slides out on a sliding tray. Another cool idea would be to make a phone where the keypad/keyboard slides out. That way you have the whole screen open, without having to type on an on screen keyboard that is obscuring the bottom part of the display.

  8. The 1% loves Teslas because the whole Ferrari thing is old hat. They get to virtue signal that they are cool and hip and about the environment, and drive around in a relatively rare car (because Tesla can't get the production right). Oh, PLUS they have a couple of SUV in the garage too.

That is because you are a fanboy. I live in an area where there are a LOT of Teslas. One of my friends has one. it is a great car, but the fit and finish is average. Don't worry, I am not knocking your hero.

  10. The fact that you think that a 2200 sqft house is "modest" is very telling. There is nothing like the insular stupidity of suburban Americans.

  11. Reality check: if you own a Tesla or own a $150k house you are in the top 1% of the world. You guys are completely out of touch and delusional.

Tesla isn't doing that. They are producing $70k-$140k cars for the 1%. If you REALLY were interested in sustainability you wouldn't be so enamored with Tesla. You guys are delusional.

Oh look it is the old "well what do YOU do" approach. It isn't about ME. The point is that you guys fawn over things that don't matter. There are people who are actually doing great things in this world (not me) that you guys know nothing about. A 0.0001%er builds a $100k electric car, or a vanity rocket company and you guys fall over yourselves. It would be funny if it weren't so pathetic.

  18. You are right. I don't, because I don't care to know. But think of this: what the difference does it make to YOU that an expensive car for the 1% (that you will never be able to afford), uses a PMSRM instead of a SPM? I mean really, who cares? How is it improving the human condition? There are many people out there who are really changing the way we live in a meaningful way. You guys are obsessed with the cult of his personality. It is you that cares about totally irrelevant things.
