Well if it's at 65% of native speed - that sets a goal for Apple's new Intel systems.
If the PPC machine is replaced by an Intel based system that is 50% faster, PPC apps will run the same speed. Native apps will be 50% faster.
Another reason G4s may jump to dual core Yonah's before G5s make the switch.
Actually he said multiple machines in the market by June 2006.

I tend to agree Mac support is easier and cheaper than Windows.
However, if it's such a big difference, why hasn't this been researched and shown more often? Or on a positive note - why doesn't Apple advertise this with their "switch" campaign?
Oh - and as for IT departments fearing redundancy due to a smaller IT department, I think that's not their fear AT ALL - the fear is of supporting a totally foreign system, where all their experience and training may count for nothing. They don't even get to the next thought that the department might shrink. For some reason Linux is less threatening.
