What about the independent movie that lucks into a KILLER soundtrack, like Burning Annie seems to have? Couldn't the movie promote itself-- and itself soundtrack by putting tracks online for download?
I mean, little films don't have a whole lot to promote themselves with, and music is a big part of any movie. Would making music from the soundtrack available constitute an exception to the free-download rules? Why or why not?
(PS. That Burning Annie movie looks great, by the way, just my kind of film! When is it coming to the NYC area?)
