Oh my:)
just noticed I had the Ps2 mouse already compiled as module. a simple modprobe psmouse did the trick. no recompile needed.
Linux can be so easy, hehe.

A problem might be that people get that pop music shoved down their throats everywhere they go. It is really hard to avoid getting brainwashed by that easy-listening music. It starts from early ages (think "Barney's Dino Dancin Tunes"), you get used to simplistic melodies. Later, you being a teenager, everyone at school talks about the latest top hits,... You will become an outsider if you can not talk about these topics.
Sounds abit like conspiracy theory, but theres some truth in it. Also think brands in clothing.

To summarize it:
- Filesharing is copyright infringement at best, which is a civil offence ("at best" meaning, if you forget about fair use and stuff like that)
- Stealing is a crime
The above link contains some rude words, but is to the point.
Well. I have the same kernel here running on a Dell Latitude C840, since about 5h. After reading your comment I tried to use the touchpad and mouse pointer thingy, and both didnt work.
Since I normally use a USB mouse, too, I didnt even notice that til now.
So for me, it did not hang at all./me goes recompiling with the missed option:)
Other than that, I am really happy with the current state, the new kernel has reached to date.
i didnt mean the people from the conservative parties, but the people with conservative attitude, i.e. those who want to keep the status quo. they do that because they are better off now (i.e. they make more money, have more power) than in a future sees all those new developments becoming reality.
I read about turning anything into oil a few months ago. Gregor wrote about it in his blog @ http://greg.abstrakt.ch/archives/000118.html
If this works, it would actually solve a few problems at once, but as it always happens with disruptive innovative technology: its killed by conservative lobby with big dollar. Its attempted with OpenSource Software, alternative energy, independant art / content creators,...
