I can see it now, a giant curly brace heading towards my ship, no problem all I have to do is evade it with a counter curly brace to close it. What if I see enemy Function ships?? well obviously I have to organize an army of rouge variables that are incompatible with the Functions to destroy it. But what about the moon-sized DeathStar(); function? THe only way to stop it would to use the new OOP cannon to enclose it inside a Class so it becomes useless...

You do have a good point there, but global warming is diffrent in one way, if I do nothing to prevent it, then my grandchildren/children will deal with it, or I'll be too old to care about it. Many people don't care about preventing things that won't affect them, I'll skip a big mac to not get colon cancer later on, but I won't pick up that trash someone else threw in the floor to save my children/grandchildren.

Prevention is better than cure, the problem is getting people to prevent.

  6. And so comes the next doomsday on Extinctions Due to Global Warming Predicted · · Score: 2, Informative

It's too often global warming comes up, things are getting bad, but really whats a few species becoming extinct? at the same time many more will come about due to evolution. If anything I think the earth needs a good worldwide devestation caused by humans, all these reports mean nothing, we'll still build nukes, we'll still drive our cars, when most of our major cities (most major cities are on coastlines) are pretty much abandoned/sunken/destroyed after ice melts people will say "aww crap we sould be more careful" and then NOT drive our cars as much. No one cared about using nukes in japan, after they where used people had that "aww crap" attidude, they saw how horrible it was. We need to see how horrible pollution can be firsthand before we really give an effort. (I live in Queens, NY I'm not too exited about the idea of sea levels rising but sometimes a kick in the ass is what we need)

Unlimited does not mean 'Unlimited Bandwidth

They also advertise Xmbps, that means I can use thier Xmbps for an unlimited amount of time, if for some reason I'm getting more than Xmbps then MABY, just maby they can say I'm not allowed to do that, but going over the advertised speed isn't a common sight, the ad basically says you can use Xmbps for unlimited amount of time.
P.S. not that this even counts but for (most)broadband but IIRC some dial-ups have a rule in the TOS against using the connection 24/7 then they have a claim, but my Provider has no such line in the TOS

Technically Beagle 2 did make it first. So what if it was shot down by the martians, some of it had to of touched the ground. It should be noted that the US is getting pretty advanced in military technology, I mean getting through the martian's defenses is a great feat, as soon as the next scout lands, we can map out their defense system for holes, and once it's done We'll invade them, no one ever excpects the humans to do the invading, it's always the ET's that invade us, but NOW WE'LL GET THEM mwahahahahahha
