Actually i believe it has some sort of semi 4 wheel steering that allows it to make a 360 turn in a smaller circle than a mini. They used that to claim "better handling".
just recharge time anxiety... To feel comfortable I would need it to recharge from "I pushed into the garage because it ran out of juice in the driveway" to full in 4-6 hours. Sorry I just don't always spend 8-12 at home at night.
I think you mean a CV joint and not a universal joint.
But yes, I'm wondering why they don't just make the rear motors, half the power, and use one per wheel. You could really vary the "diff" setting between open and locked then.
because they are huge, and typically have headlights mounted in line with my face when I'm in my car. (not some low slug lotus btw, just a saturn SW2 wagon).
Even when they are in front of me all i can see it the rear gate and nothing in front of them at all this means I need 3-5x as much gap between me and them as I Have to wait for them to react before I can even start.
Also where do you plug this in if you live in a city or an apartment?
Personally I would love to buy one, but there are 2 issues:
1) How well does it work in a MN winter? namely I will settle for nothing less than 40-70F in the car while the temp outside is -20F. What is the range running that massive heater? 2) Where will I plug it in at my apartment, and what will the recharge time be even if i manage to get my hands on a 120V outlet. It had better be less than say 6 hours from mostly empty to full up for the next day.
There seem to be a large number of people here in MN and similar cold climates, and there are a lot of apartments around as well.
Once those two things are addressed, and they have a range of at least 50 miles under all conditions (Think rally driving in the snow with the heat on), I'm in. In fact I would love a 4 motor AWD car (one motor mounted in the middle of the car for each wheel, with a CV shaft to each wheel). Once cruising, use one of the rear wheels to maintain speed, and the rest could start up when needed. Manage the "differentials" in software.
I wonder what sort of processing speed one needs to try it out in a RC car...
There is also the Merc and BMW wagons, the exact models escape me. There is a volvo one as well and the older outbacks (I put the new outback in crossover territory).
I'd also put the A3 more in "hatchback" and less in "station wagon", but that's a fine line.
what? what use does Steve have for the money he earned now that he is dead? perhaps direct family members should be able to split a poverty line income with each other, and the rest goes back to the government.
How/why did Steve get rich? it wasn't just him using the infrastructure, it was apple, it was the people he employed, it was FOXXCON being able to use our ports to ship iThings etc, there is a lot of ripple use that really should be placed on Steve's ledger.
because land is never fully owned in the US. It is always rented from the state. He owns the house, but the land he does not. note the use of DEED and not TITLE.
I like Mr. Mendel argue the length of the cable between hard drives makes a difference. I fail to see how uploading to redigi is different than moving a file between harddrives on my linux computer (and windows too i think), where it copies the file to the target device and then deletes the original copy.
I agree that the judge was well informed, or so it seemed. I'm still confused how Mr. Mendel can see a CD with a file on it, as different than a file on a harddrive in the cloud. They seem the same to me, and in light of the technical measures that redigi claims to be taking, those files would be harder to copy than the CD with a file.
does it also know out to delete it off my CD backup? how about the HDD in my safety deposit box? Phone? iPod? tablet? etc? Seems a bit useless to me.
All I would have to do is copy my files before importing them into the tool... If it was a song from Amazon MP3 there may be no way to tell a new copy from the copy I sold 2 months ago.
I think you missed the part where Zukerberg will have 56.9% of the vote(while only having ~28% of the shares by value), meaning he can overrule any decisions made by shareholders/board.
I'm not sitting near my TMY3 data, what is the 0.4% day cooling day in Quebec? If it is below 90F or so you probably can economize all year long. Maybe toss a direct evap cooler in there just to be safe.
So how do i plug in my electric car in the middle of winter in MN at my apartment when the charging station is under the 10' mound of snow from the parking lot? Also what is the range once I fire up the electric heater to make the -20F air into +100F air?
P.S. All of the above based on a "normal" MN winter, not this sorry excuse for one we are having this year.
why do we care about manufacturing jobs that will be done by robots (if we are lucky) in the next decade or two (again if we are lucky)?
If you are in manufacturing, better start learning how to program/operate CNC machines, or how to repair them. Even china is starting to displace humans with robots, so what does that tell you? Robots don't bitch that the lights are too low (or high), they don't need smoke brakes, can work 24H a day 365 days a year with minimal interruptions.
Yes, I'm mad about jobs moving overseas, but at the end of the day most of these positions will be done by robots at some point in the nearest future. Yes there will be some "i need 4 of these" sorts of positions, but those will be much like current day blacksmiths, and glass blowers (both things I'd love to learn).
Well tbh it would be carried inside the stealth bomber until a minute before deployment. At which point you are right, opening the bay doors, and then dropping the bomb would show up on radar, but what will you realistically be able to do about it at that point?
Because games don't have a terms and conditions of service on the outside of the box and tend to be non-returnable after they are opened.
Does the box state that this a single seat non transferable license, in a legible type size and color? Anything les will me the game is assumed to have industry standard terms; a single seat transferable license.
Personally I don't have an issue with them doing this, just an issue with it not being clear at time of purchase. Meaning I am unable to make an informed decision about the value of the product.
Car analogy time. You have to buy new cars with the shrink wrap still on, they will be delivered to your house on a truck. You order a new car and it shows up. You discover that in order to start the car it requires a retina scan. Now when you try to let your wife, friend, co-worker, etc drive the car you find out that it will only start with you in the seat and stops running once the door is opened you you get up off the seat.
Coupe to me means 2 door, sedan/saloon is the 4 door, and wagon/estate is a 4 door with a lifting tailgate (like a mini-van).
I can't seem to get toyota's website to let me pick a manual transmission for 2012 camry no mater what I pick. Also good luck getting a minivan in a manual, or most "sport" sedans/coupes (the BMW type 1M is a noteable exception, as is the Golf R).
wait? how much do gear ratios really play in nascar? it's not like the brakes get used much or that there is much acceleration. They have a way to shed drag when behind another car so they only have drafting/not drafting to contend with. Aren't the engines required to be naturally aspirated rendering the turbos and supercharger discussions worthless?
I'm sure the cars camber, brake balance, and tire pressures are tuned for the car/track, but to be honest, I haven't really seen tech side of nascar like I do with F1. Also when will they catch up in terms of safety with F1 or even MotoGP?
To be fair, Manuals are hard to find on lots these days. Especially in some classes of cars... I'm surprised you can get a decent trim level Camry with a manual.
Also, there is no 6 Cyl or 4 Cyl Jetta in the current models, just the 2.5L 5 Cyl. Well there is the 4 Cyl TDI, and the 2.0T (in the jetta GLI), but I assume you were not looking at the diesel or the turbo. Nor are there jetta coupes... At least not here in the USA... Other countries may have those options.
Actually i believe it has some sort of semi 4 wheel steering that allows it to make a 360 turn in a smaller circle than a mini. They used that to claim "better handling".
so what is a 4 door golf, GTI, or 5 door imprezza?
just recharge time anxiety... To feel comfortable I would need it to recharge from "I pushed into the garage because it ran out of juice in the driveway" to full in 4-6 hours. Sorry I just don't always spend 8-12 at home at night.
my understanding is that the roadster is actually a lotus elise chassis, and is minimally customized to hold the batteries and such.
I think you mean a CV joint and not a universal joint.

or worse yet the heat on a -20F day...
I'd get a Cayman R, and chip the engine and put bigger brakes on it, etc to make it competitive with a stock GT3.
Or mod a classic mini with a hyabusa engine and a turbo and some nice wide rear street tires.
There is also the Merc and BMW wagons, the exact models escape me. There is a volvo one as well and the older outbacks (I put the new outback in crossover territory).
I'd also put the A3 more in "hatchback" and less in "station wagon", but that's a fine line.
When does the 4 motor AWD "hot hatch" come out? count me in then.. as soon as I have somewhere to plug it in.

perhaps a slightly weaker than the rest of the tanks spot, designed so that when it did fail it would miss spars, and all other vital equipment?
I think you missed the part where Zukerberg will have 56.9% of the vote(while only having ~28% of the shares by value), meaning he can overrule any decisions made by shareholders/board.

You could buy the S4 to get up to a 6 Cyl.
Also, I'm not sure why you couldn't get a ranger... http://www.ford.com/trucks/ranger/ perhaps the 2011 is the last model year...
