    No, acually NetGate uses BSDi machines:

    ...having idiots claiming that their LAN (YES, it is a LAN) should be opened.

    I would like to take this opportunity to be an ass and point out that it is infact a MAN - Metropolitan Area Network. And I can also think of arguments in favor of a WAN, but MAN is seems more appropriate.
