I have an old iPAQ PDA that required sign-up with PASSPORT just for the priveledge of being able to use Microsoft's LOUSY ACTIVESYNC software (compared to Palm's Desktop, imho) -circa 2000 or so.
I no longer use anything PocketPC related because of this (and actively discourage its use when asked for my PDA opinion), and only wonder if current PPC owners are now _still_ required to have a (.NET?)Passport to still use their buggy activesync program (what -at version 3.7 now?).
As of last weekend, I have been unable to login to Yahoo using GYACH (v0.9.4) chat client on my linux box. Tho not a IM client, it has never failed
log-in til their recent changes...I'd try myself, but am presently held captive to my WIN laptop.
