Well, Apple doesn't make processors Intel does, Apple just puts them in a pretty package and gives you software to go with it. So what I beleieve you mean is won't " IBM's response be interesting " since they make the G5 and sell it to apple
What kind of nerd goes to a Final Fantasy concert?
I'm gonna stand outside and kick the shit out of everybody that walks out. Nerd thunkin will be easier then ever.
You don't need special " linux " drivers. Infact you don't even need a video card that supports dual or multi-head. You can add in as many PCI video cards as you have slots on your mothrboard and have XFree86 use it's xinerama feature to span the desktop over them. I have one gForce4 4200 and 2 voodoo 3 2000 PCI's on my box and everything works great. Here is a sample Pic of my multihead in linux all the settings are in/etc/X11/XF86Config

I agreed I also play Warcraft III under winex 3.1 and get better performance then I do under windows.
Max Payne is * almost * just as good but not quite.
But some games ( 1942,Baldurs Gate ) are considerably slower.
Well we are forgetting somthing. Sure the cable companies funded the lines and such but the main trunk lines are being run along the roads and many other places that are owned by the government. So what to we except competitors to do run 6/7 different sets of lines when the existing infrastructure will work? That would be like Bell Sprint,AT&T all having there own lines in one city it would be insane.
