On a different note, but a similar one. A particular laptop manufacturer says 256MB DDR RAM and for the memory for the video card says 64MB (shared).
By reading this one cannot tell if that is shared from the 256MB system's memory. And when you see the BIOS you notice that there is 64MB missing. So can we sue the laptop manufacturer for misleading the buyer like this?
What is the convention when specifying system's memory? Is the video card's memory included while specifying memory?
