It amuses me to see Centrino adverts saying "Internet Anywhere" or some such. Point of fact, it's not. Between where i'm sitting and my house 3km away, there are 3 hotspots, yes i've counted. It's just not everywhere at all, and if you do find it, only 1 in 20, or so, of them are actually open (whether intentionally or not). Services like Netvigator (who now have a new name, I believe) DO provide internet anywhere. Pity it's not 802.11g, eh?
Why do you think people change the TV channel as soon as the adverts come on? And throw away all the flyers and rubbish that falls out of the paper or magazine. If the adverts were good, which some are, they might work. But clicking on a singing stupid frog? Now THAT's something that will actually make me leave the page, even if it's a good page.
since the US governement control any thing that goes up on space from within the US or a US based company. i dont thing the first two would have any chance. And if the next two, i dont think would have any trouble putting one up if they wanted anyway.
Arnie wouldnt want a microsat, he wouldnt be able to brag that he could pick it up, and noone else could. I have seen satellites that are now in orbit that only weighed 5 grams.
that does seem like one hell of an expensive microsat deal. the microsats i deal with HERE are no where near that expensive.
(this is not advertising, because i am not an employee, or related to this company, other than by marriage)
He may have been technically aware that what he was doing was illegal. But it is still a matter of opinion.
If you friend says to you "could you lend me that Cd you just bought". would you say "no, its against the law, you criminal"? I dont think he would be your friend if you did say that often.
The point i am trying to make is that, he may not have seen it as a breach of the law. Music pirates are often seen as people who copy CDs and music and sell them on at a profit.
"These guys didnt make a penny (or so i believe), so they cannot be criminals."

this is ACTUALLY the case. If some one else can hear it, then it is a public broadcast. so you are in breach of the law.
