I have to say, Infoblox http://www.infoblox.com/ is the best solution for this I have seen yet. It is not free, but gives a company with LOTS of IP addresses a nice way to manage them all.
Most people use either Excel (yuck) or a home grown PHP app they write themselves. (im talking some Fortune 500 companies here as well)
wow! I didn't realize there was a company commercially supporting LVS clustering to this extent! The pricing is quite reasonable for what they are offering...
Anyone know the current status of booting from SATA? From what I see so far, it requires a bit of kernel hacking to get the modern distros to boot from one. A major pain actually...
I know the driver support is there for mounting from an existing distro. I guess I just want to use my nice new SATA drive as my bootable drive. At least on Ubuntu...
$20 for the CF to IDE adapter and $35 for the 256 meg compact flash drive.
Featherlinux is basically a stripped down Knoppix. Perfect for this project, IMHO. I installed Firefox and the iCandy theme.
I looked at the other distros out there, but I could not find one that used Fluxbox, and had the selection of apps that Feather linux had. My system has 128 megs of ram in it, and the only time I have issues is when I have over 10 or so tabs open in Firefox. Without swap, firefox is not happy... Of course, this is expected with a system with so little resources.
Overall the performance is not too bad. Battery life is MUCH better without the hard drive. Write speed is not too great, but since I usually ssh into my server and leech from there, i dont need to worry about that much...:)
I have a 2002 Prius, which I bought new 2 years ago. I get about an average of 45 mpg...
It has over 60,000 miles on it now:) So I use it quite a bit. (road trip from Florida to Maine and back and moving from Florida to Colorado put a few miles on it) Overall I am VERY please with this vehicle. Its probably true that Prius owners are the best salesmen for this cars...
Its gets a little getting used to, as the engine turns off when your driving sometimes. I have gotten it up to 120mph (only once) and it handled it well. When I drive to the mountains though, its definatly has a hard time going up mountains. (it uses both engines together for the incline)
I plan on buying another one. I test drove the Honda and was not as impressed. I strongly suggest test driving one before buying it, to make sure you like it. If you want a car that speeds up faster than anyone elses car, get a sports car. If you want an economical car, thats really good on gas and you like gadgets like touch screen displays, look at the Prius.
I can say one thing cool about google mail, the heavy, working use of JavaScript is pretty cool. It works in Safari, Mozilla, and IE the same. Must have been hell to code:)
I was referring to HD-DVD in my original post. There IS a possibility that all new HD-DVD's could end up using Microsoft's format. There is also a possibility that they could extend their format at a later time with some nasty DRM.

When a problem is detected, customers will receive a notification and recommended steps to help them improve security."
Personally, I dont think Microsoft should be bundling this with Windows... Im suprised the full blown MS Money is not in there yet, would be a 'typical Microsoft way' to take out Quicken...
If anyone gets this code and feels like it, it would be nice to run this through a script and compare the code to known GPL code... I would like to see if there are ANY 'close similarities'.
They said it takes two weeks to ship it to you... I didnt even know they were running this promotion until AFTER I decided to buy the car - the salesman just called me up and said 'oh, you get an iPod too', which is cool, ive been wanting one to plug into my Powerbook...
They refused to ship it to a P.O. Box, which was inconvienent for me, but no big deal, we are just happy to have a nice new Yellow Bug:)

Or go open source: http://www.linuxvirtualserver.org/ has a load balancing agent.
I would recommend RadWare http://radware.com/ or f5 http://f5.com/ to load balance the traffic to multiple IMAP and/or POP back end servers.
You can even cluster the load balancers...
Seriously... let them go away...
Cant go wrong with Horde! www.horde.org

Im suprised noone has written a virus that uses unused sectors on the hard drive, and makes modifications to the MBR and partition table.
I know there are programs out there that do this now, but they are not widespread... hopefully they will never be
Now all they need to do is add Linux support for PDANet...

I have an older 400mhz Dell notebook. I am currently using a CF to IDE adapter in it.

It works great, i am using a 256 meg sandisk compact flash card and feather linux.

heh, it seems a ton of 'internet security' products are produced in Israel... Check Point, Sanctum, Aladdin are a few that come to mind.
I can later tonight :) Its definatly entertaining. (has a section in it for Amiga stuff - 0Ld 5ch00L, but cool to see in print in 2004...)
Blacklisted 411 is back in print. I just picked up a new copy in Denver, CO at a Borders...

I completely agree. People skills are much more important than lousy certifications...

I am well aware of that. Microsoft on the other hand, has something to gain from blocking DVD playback from Linux...
The article mentions royalties for using the codec... This may be the beginning of the end of playing DVD's in Linux...
